"Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".
Brundtland Report, UN 1987
For many, the word sustainability has become synonymous with ecology and resource management.
But the concept encompasses much more. Our version of sustainability is, of course, based on a strong commitment to environmental issues such as recycling, food waste, animal husbandry and transportation. Our carbon footprint is a tool that helps us track our targets and commitments. However, it does not stop there.
For us, the social dimension of sustainability is at least as important. This means, among other things, that we work for openness and an inclusive society. In other words, we have zero tolerance for discrimination or special treatment based on gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and so on. Ensuring a good and safe working environment is also a matter of course in our operations.
